Hot off the Press!

Hats off to the HIGH COUNTRY CHAPTER of Hunters Helping Kids for their successful First Annual BANQUET!  Held at the Alliance Bible Fellowship in Boone, NC, the doors opened at 6 pm for general viewing of the silent and live auction items to the attendees of the Banquet.

The evenings events began with the evening meal which was catered by Bandanas of Boone who served delicious chopped barbeque and chicken along with all the fixings for this High Country meal.  Great job on the food and service provided by their staff.

The  Silent auction and general raffles were open to all for viewing prior to the live auction.  If you were not able to attend, you missed some great items from the live auction! Beautifully matted and numbered prints from various artists such as Jim Casper Turkey, Terry Redlin and Jack Paluh, various sculptures, decoys and a HHK 2008 Knife of the year.  Several hunt packages were auctioned off including a bear hunt provided by the Globe Bear Hunters, a two man 1/2 day quail hunt with Covy Hollow and a one day whitetail hunt with Mid-State Outfitters.

Numerous drawings were held for guns, hunting accessories and miscellaneous items.

A special thanks to all of the Committee Members and volunteers who helped to make this banquets successful.  Without you, the High Country Chapter’s mission to make it possible for any kid who’s dream is to go hunting could not be accomplished.  Thank you immensely for all your hard work!

And...a very special thanks to all the Sponsors and Donors for their contributions of raffle and auction items.  Your support helped make this banquet a huge success!
